Liverpool FC saddened by passing of Jimmy Rolfe
By Liverpool FC
A talented right-sided midfielder, Rolfe was on the club’s books as a youth player and, after completing National Service, turned professional for the 1952-53 season.
Jimmy (centre below) featured regularly for the Reds’ reserve team, though was never selected for an appearance at senior level amid strong competition for places.

He departed Anfield to join Chester and later had spells with Crewe Alexandra and Barrow, before turning out in non-league football.
Our thoughts are with Jimmy’s family and friends at this difficult time.
