CommunityLFC's half-term community support

A host of activities were put in place to ensure children and families were able to make the most of their February half-term holiday.
More than 890 food parcels and hampers, each containing enough food to feed a family of four, were delivered to local families by the Reds’ official charity, LFC Foundation, and its community hubs, thanks to support from the Regional Mosque Network, Islamic Relief and the Steve Morgan Foundation.
Breakfast hampers containing breakfast staples such as tea, coffee and pastries were delivered by the club’s Red Neighbours team to 28 local schools within the community, directly supporting more than 1,100 people.
Funding from the Holiday Activity and Food programme also meant that 530 attendees of sports camps and tournaments were supplied with packed lunches during their half-term camps.
Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, said: “We recognise that the school holidays put extra financial pressure on families across our city region, especially in these very challenging times.
“We can support our local communities and help to alleviate some of those pressures by working with our key partners to provide essential food support where it is needed most.”
