Press conferenceLFC Women team news: Leanne Kiernan update
Kiernan was absent from last weekend's defeat at London City Lionesses and could now miss a second game in a row with a foot problem.
The Reds welcome City in Barclays Women’s Super League action in a 4.45pm BST kick-off.
“Since last time out I think we just need to do a later check on Leanne Kiernan,” head coach Gareth Taylor told his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“She's just got a bit of an issue with her foot. Lucy Parry was missing with a hamstring issue and Lily Woodham also has the same issue with her hamstring, which she’s getting back a little bit closer with.
“Rachael Laws is stepping up. Ale Bernabe is getting a little bit closer as well and Zara Shaw is a bit further away.
“Outside of what we had in the last game, we were just hoping to get Leanne back - but I think this weekend might be a bit too soon for her.”
