Press conferenceLFC Women injury news: Updates on Gemma Bonner, Ceri Holland and Grace Fisk
Bonner and Holland both missed last weekend’s defeat by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium, as did captain Grace Fisk.
The Reds travel to Villa Park in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Thursday (7pm GMT kick-off) and head coach Taylor provided a squad fitness update on Tuesday afternoon.
“It wasn’t good for the Arsenal game in terms of the limitations we had but we are hoping to get Ceri Holland and Gemma Bonner back for Thursday’s game. It probably wouldn’t be to start but at least it leaves us looking a little bit healthier,” he said, during his pre-match press conference.
“Grace Fisk is going to be a little bit longer and then it’s a really tight turnaround for Sunday’s game. But I think there was some positive news this morning with Gemma and with Ceri as well so that helps us just a little bit.”
After the match against Villa, Liverpool visit West Ham United in the WSL on Sunday (11.55am kick-off).
