The left-back was the Carlsberg Player of the Match in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Gareth Taylor’s team made it four points from their opening two games of the season as substitute Aurélie Csillag equalised an unfortunate Sam Kerr own goal at St Helens Stadium.

“We are working so hard,” Bernabe told Sky Sports post-match.

“All the team is on the same page, the coaches as well and the staff, everyone. It’s easier like that.

“We have to keep going and doing the things well.

“We are doing things well, we are playing good football.

Bernabe, who joined the club on a permanent basis a year ago, has started both of Liverpool’s matches so far in 2026-27.

“It’s fine when I go higher [up the pitch],” she said.

“I play so comfortably with Ceri [Holland] and all my teammates. I feel good, I feel fine.

“Obviously, it was hard to not get the [winning] goal but I’m enjoying a lot to be higher [up], on the pitch and with the team.”
