KEY INFORMATION
Flag and banner policy
During previous matches, LFC stewards requested that a number of flags and banners from across the political and national spectrum be removed as they didn't meet the club's flag and banner policy, and the additional guidance from the Premier League.
These included flags containing direct calls to action, political statements, national flags and flags that could have caused disquiet, no matter how inoffensive they may seem.
It's important to follow the rules of the governing bodies of football and ensure that safety remains the number one priority for all supporters who come to Anfield.
The current LFC flag policy is that commercially produced flags under 2m x 1m with a small pole (less than 7mm diameter and less than 1m long) will be allowed in all areas of the stadium.
Flags and banners over 2m x 1m may be allowed into the Kop stand or visitors section providing they have an accompanying fire safety certificate and agreement has been requested by the club and given prior to the fixture taking place.
In addition to Anfield's long-standing flag policy, and following consultation with safety and security experts, it has been determined that Israeli and Palestinian flags should not be permitted to be displayed at football matches for the foreseeable future and the same approach can be applied to other displays, banners, clothing or scarves identified as pro-Israeli or pro-Palestinian or related to the current crisis.
This season's ground regulations can be found here.
Anfield Road access – home and away fans
The Anfield Road Stand is still under construction and we would like to thank fans for their patience attending matches during the building works. There will be a phased opening to the stand with only the lower tier open for this game. Some areas around the stand are also not accessible to fans during this game.
There will be no through road access on Anfield Road, like last season, with access only permitted for those fans with a ticket for the Anfield Road Stand.
Home fans:
Supporters entering via turnstile M must approach Anfield Road from the direction of Arkles Lane, as there is no access from the direction of 97 Avenue.
Accessible fans for lower Anfield Road will enter from the accessibility gates DA4 located between the Sir Kenny Dalglish and Anfield Road stands.
Away fans:
Away supporters entering via turnstiles Q and R must approach Anfield Road from the direction of 97 Avenue, as there is no access from the direction of Arkles Lane.
Accessible fans for lower Anfield Road away section will enter from the accessibility gates DA6 located on Anfield Road, from the direction of 97 Avenue.
Safe standing
Anfield has been awarded a Safe Standing Licence for this season. From the start of the 2023-24 season there is an introduction of safe standing areas across all rail seating sections on the Kop and in the lower Anfield Road Stand.
In these safe standing areas, supporters will be permitted to stand throughout matches and not just for significant moments, such as goal celebrations.
More information on this change can be viewed here.
Updated bag policy & storage facilities
There is a new bag policy for this season. For safety and security purposes, ONLY the following bags are permitted entry into the stadium:
- Small handheld bag which does not exceed A5 size (148.5 x 210 mm/5.8 x 8.3 inches)
- LFC superstore clear carrier bag containing superstore purchases only
Oversized bags larger than A5 will only be permitted at the discretion of LFC if containing medication and/or medical equipment that cannot fit inside an A5-size bag. All bags permitted will be subjected to a bag search on entry point.
Please report anything suspicious while in and around the ground to your nearest steward or police officer.
There will be a bag-drop facility for anything that is not permitted into the stadium located five minutes from the Kop at Christ Church, 157 Hartnup Street, L5 1UW.
This facility will be managed by LFC Foundation and small bags up to holdall size cost £5 and suitcases or very large bags cost £10. All monies raised will be donated to the Foundation and, in line with Anfield, payment is card only.
The facility will open three hours before kick-off for this match and close one hour after the final whistle. LFC accepts no responsibility for loss or damage, items left at owners' risk and all bags will be subject to security search.
All supporters are reminded that there are no storage facilities for walking aids or wheelchairs inside the stadium. Any fans who use a wheelchair or walking aid to get to the stadium on matchday should contact the disability ticketing team on 0151 264 2500 or contact via email on disability@liverpoolfc.com. The specialist team will assist with any requirements relating to access. This does not include those supporters who have already been allocated a wheelchair bay.
