News'I will always carry you with me' - Adrian's message to Liverpool fans after retirement
The Spaniard hung up his gloves after completing the 2025-26 season with Real Betis, where he began his professional career.
Adrian moved to the Reds in the summer of 2019 and enjoyed five years at the club, appearing 26 times and lifting six major honours.
In a video posted on social media on Friday, the 39-year-old said: "Hola Reds, now that my sporting career has come to the end, what can I say to you all apart from a huge thank you?
"You have given me some of the best memories of my career.
"That penalty in Istanbul when I just arrived, a nickname that will always follow me, the Kop sound, the Premier League, the run of titles and trophies.
"Your incredible Scouse accent, feeling close to you even during COVID, incredible teammates, being part of that amazing mural forever and the feeling that I will never walk alone because I will always carry you with me."
