Hugo Ekitike will wear 54 as a temporary squad number while on pre-season tour with Liverpool.

The French attacker completed a move to the Reds from Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, subject to international clearance, and is now set to link up with the squad in Hong Kong.

Arne Slot’s side face AC Milan on Saturday and then travel to Japan, where they will meet Yokohama F. Marinos before returning to Merseyside.

Ekitike’s permanent official shirt number will be confirmed soon.
