NewsEuro 2024 draw sets up Liverpool teammate showdowns

Dominik Szoboszlai’s Hungary will be coming up against Andy Robertson’s Scotland in Group A next year, alongside host nation Germany and Switzerland.

Ibrahima Konate and France, meanwhile, will be facing a Netherlands side for whom Virgil van Dijk is captain and Cody Gakpo a regular figure in the team. They are each in Group D, with Austria and play-off winners A.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s England are in Group C and will be taking on Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia.

For Diogo Jota and Portugal it is Group F alongside Turkiye, Czechia and play-off winner C.

Kostas Tsimikas’ Greece are still hoping to qualify for the tournament and will contest the play-off round in March. If they advance, they will be in Group F and face Jota’s Portugal.
