Dominik Szoboszlai says he is looking to reach new levels of form with Liverpool having fully shaken off his recent injury issues.

The Hungary international has returned to action successfully in recent weeks after recovering from the muscle problems that saw him miss 10 games across January and February.

Ahead of the Reds' Europa League last-16, second-leg clash with Sparta Prague, the 23-year-old spoke to the media about the frustrations of being sidelined, and his determination to show his best in the coming weeks and months as Jürgen Klopp's side target a successful end to the campaign.

"I am back and I don't feel any pain," Szoboszlai said. "Hopefully it stays like that for the future.

"It is the worst thing that can happen to you, actually, to be injured, to be not allowed to help the team even if you want to and you are watching from the television or from the stands.

"Hopefully that never comes again. But as you know as a professional football player, it can come all the time, so that's why we have to take care of ourselves and then we will be ready for every game."

On the emotions of being involved in such an exciting end to the season…

It's a good feeling. We won already one [trophy] and we have three more left. I said it before, me personally, I want to win all four but we have to look game by game. We cannot look that far [towards] the end of the season because there is a long, long way to go, a lot of games [in] Europa League, in the FA Cup on Sunday and then after the national-team break the Premier League starts again. But I think we are ready.

On Liverpool's chances of winning all four trophies and his thoughts on Klopp leaving at the end of the season…

I think we have a quite good chance but I think everybody thinks like this. If you ask the [Manchester] City players, they would think they have a good chance. If you ask the Arsenal players, then they would say they have a good chance. Me? I think we have a good chance, but we have to work for it. It is not coming from the air and jumping into our hands, the title. You have to work [in] every game, you have to give your best. Doesn't matter who is in the first 11, it doesn't matter who comes on from the bench, we are a team and we are ready to fight for each other. About the gaffer at the end of the season, of course everybody is looking only for the games and we are not thinking about what's happening at the end of the season. We can talk about this [at] the end of the season.

On settling in at Liverpool following his move from RB Leipzig last summer…

It's never easy to come into a new league, in a new team with new players, but I think we showed that as a team we can reach almost everything – not yet but we are on it. We have a completely new midfield with Macca [Alexis Mac Allister], with [Wataru] Endo, with Ryan [Gravenberch], with me and I think we showed up quite well that we are ready.

On passing on his experience to the club's younger players…

I think I am not old, hopefully! I have quite a lot of experience for my age and also I'm captain of my national team. I help the young guys as much as I can if they have any questions. But probably if you ask them, I will not be the first one who they come to because we have older guys and also with more experience in the team like Virg [Van Dijk], Mo [Salah] or these type of players. But if they come to me, I will give the best advice what I have.

On whether life at Liverpool has lived up to his expectations…

When I moved here, I had an expectation of how everything works, but actually it works even better. I had a player from the [Hungarian] national team, Peter Gulacsi, who played here before and he had talked to me about the things here, how it works, what is different to Germany, to Austria. So, I could prepare myself actually for how it was going to work. I'm just happy to be here and hopefully [for] many more years.

On using the frustration of his injury issues as motivation going forward…

It's not easy to come back because, as you see, for every player who got injured we have to build up ourselves in games as well. It's not that you go from zero to 100. You have steps to get over it, and this is not the easiest one when you feel you are ready to play and you still only get 15 minutes to play or [in] the next game 40 and the next game 60, and then maybe you can get the 90. This is a build-up, which is hard to understand as a player, but we have to accept it because our body is the main thing we use in the game, so we have to take care of it.

On Endo's impact at Anfield…

I played against him when he was at Stuttgart and he's a player who is everywhere! It feels like you pass him and then you turn around and he is already there. So, I can understand how the people are thinking, 'How is he there exactly when I just passed him?' But I'm happy to have him in my team. It is not my decision to decide if he is a good signing or not. But, of course, he shows he is important for the team – this is the most important thing. You have to ask the gaffer if it was a good signing or not.

On looking to return to his best form in the final months of the season…

Maybe it's not [just] because of my injury, also we can say because of my injury, but it happens also that you have really good games, you have less-good games, you have a bad game. We are also not perfect. I think none of us [in] all the games showed themselves 100 per cent what he can really do. But especially [on] my side, I'm every day working on it to get [in] my best shape. Probably if you think the best shape was the beginning of the season, it wasn't. I can be even better.
