ReactionCurtis Jones: It's just about how we bounce back now
The Reds suffered a 1-0 loss at Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, a few days after the late Premier League reversal to Crystal Palace.
The schedule means there is little time to dwell on such disappointment, however, with Jones and his teammates needing to turn their focus towards a trip to Chelsea on Saturday evening.
"That's just part of the game. I say it all the time, you must be mad if you think you can win every game," the No.17 told Liverpoolfc.com.
"Of course you would like to but the reality is the teams we play are world-class teams and it's normal if you lose games – it's just how you bounce back.
"We've got a huge game in three days, so we have to go again. The lads have to stay calm, it's fine, it's part of it.
"It's not fine that we lose but I think it's fine in the way that we just have to stay calm. It will all change, of course it will."
A 16th-minute penalty from Victor Osimhen clinched the points for Galatasaray in the league-phase contest at RAMS Park.
Liverpool dominated possession and worked up a number of promising opportunities in Istanbul, but were unable to salvage something from what turned out to be a frustrating evening.
Jones reflected: "It's always hard when you lose games, of course it is. But I thought the lads actually played well. There were positives from the whole of the game.
"In the second half they just played in a low block and it was hard. It was a physical team as well [and] the fans were behind them for the whole of the night. It was a hard game but we'll go again.
"There were positives at times when they came and pressed, where me, Ryan [Gravenberch] and Flo [Wirtz] played through, turned and went. But we would have liked to have more shots and obviously more goals."
