NewsConor Bradley relishing international battle with 'brilliant' mentor Andy Robertson

The Reds teammates are set to line up in direct opposition to each other when Bradley’s Northern Ireland visit Robertson’s Scotland in a friendly on Tuesday night.

And, ahead of their contest at Hampden Park, Bradley told Sky Sports: “I’m looking forward to it. It’ll be a good battle hopefully, and hopefully I get the better hand of it!

“It’ll be really good and obviously Andy’s been brilliant with me since I came into the Liverpool squad.

“He’s been helping me through the whole time and giving me little tips and even before games just settling the nerves, so he’s been brilliant with me and hopefully it’ll be a good game.”

When asked to reveal a particular piece of advice the experienced Scotland captain has passed on, Bradley replied: “Probably just about the consistency.

“He just keeps [telling] me: ‘Be consistent and keep doing the same things every day.’”
