Liverpool v Manchester United - Tuesday July 12, 2pm BST – Rajamangala Stadium

Liverpool’s 2022 pre-season schedule begins with a renewing of rivalries against a familiar foe.

The Reds kick off their preparations in Thailand against Manchester United in the Bangkok Century Cup.

It is the first time Liverpool have returned to the Rajamangala Stadium since the club’s 2015-16 pre-season tour, providing supporters with an opening chance to see the squad in action this summer.

Liverpool v Crystal Palace – Friday July 15, 1.35pm BST – Singapore National Stadium

Following the Bangkok fixture, Liverpool travel to Singapore to take on fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace in the second leg of their schedule.

The Reds have previously visited Singapore for games in 2001 and 2009, and will take part in the 2022 Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy this time around.

Similarly to Bangkok, players and staff will also take an active role in key local community projects and cultural activities.

RB Leipzig v Liverpool – Thursday July 21, 6.15pm BST – Red Bull Arena Leipzig

Liverpool will return to Europe a week later for their next match, travelling to Germany for the third fixture of their programme.

Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig will provide the opposition and play host to the Reds at the Red Bull Arena for another stern test.

The two teams last met around 18 months ago in the knockout stages of the Champions League, though will meet in a non-competitive environment this time around.

Red Bull Salzburg v Liverpool – Wednesday July 27, 7pm BST – Red Bull Arena Salzburg

Liverpool will next take on Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

It will be the final outing before a first competitive encounter of the new campaign versus Manchester City.

The Reds last visited Salzburg two years ago in another friendly encounter, having previously faced the hosts in the Champions League group stage in 2019.

Liverpool v Manchester City – Saturday July 30, 5pm BST – King Power Stadium

A week ahead of the Reds’ Premier League opener, Klopp’s squad will face Manchester City in the Community Shield in what will be the 2022-23 season curtain-raiser.

The clash between last season’s top two teams will take place at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium instead of Wembley due to the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 final.

Liverpool last tackled City in the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals at the national stadium en route to lifting the trophy in May.

Liverpool v RC Strasbourg Alsace – Sunday July 31, 7.30pm BST – Anfield

Klopp’s team will bring pre-season to a close on home soil just a day after their meeting with City.

Liverpool will host French side Strasbourg at Anfield in front of their home supporters on Merseyside.

It will present a final chance for the Reds to test out their full squad ahead of the Premier League trip to Craven Cottage to face newly promoted Fulham six days later.
