
AcademyCalum Scanlon signs first professional contract with Liverpool FC
An exciting full-back who enjoys getting forward, Scanlon joined the Reds from Birmingham City in February of last year.
He made his debut in Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s U18s team as a 16-year-old a short time later, showing good pace on the left.
This season he has been an U18s regular, often catching the eye as he runs at defenders out wide and delivers searching crosses into the box, while proving a strong and capable defender.
The 17-year-old, an England youth international, has also appeared in the FA Youth Cup in 2021-22 and made it to the matchday squad for Liverpool’s most recent UEFA Youth League tie.
