Alisson Becker has been nominated for the Champions League Player of the Week award after his stellar display at Paris Saint-Germain.

The goalkeeper was in inspired, unbeatable mood throughout Wednesday night’s last-16 first leg in the French capital and the clean sheet he preserved was then added to in the final minutes by Harvey Elliott’s strike for a 1-0 Liverpool win.

Alisson was subsequently named as one of four candidates for Player of the Week across all games in the tournament, alongside Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) and Rodrygo (Real Madrid).
