NewsAaron Briggs joins Liverpool FC backroom staff

The 37-year-old moves to the Reds having gathered a range of experience as both a coach and analyst, most recently working at club level as an assistant coach at Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg.

He joined the German outfit in June 2022, having previously held roles with Blackpool, Preston North End, Manchester City and AS Monaco.

Briggs holds UEFA A, B and Pro licences and graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a sports management science degree. He has also previously worked with FIFA and UEFA on a consultancy basis.

He now takes on the position of first team individual development coach with the Reds, starting work immediately at the AXA Training Centre under head coach Slot.

Briggs is the fourth new backroom staff member confirmed so far this summer, following the arrivals of first assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff, lead physical performance coach Ruben Peeters, and head of first-team goalkeeper coaching Fabian Otte.
