Final UK soccer school of 2018 held at LFC Academy
Original Publish Date - 24th October 2018
This half-term saw the final soccer school of 2018 at the LFC Academy in Kirkby held by LFC International Academy. 80 children were thrilled to attend a 3-day course led by our fantastic academy coaches.
Participants aged from 5 to 15 experienced what is like to be a Liverpool Academy player. The LFC IA coaches ran technical sessions and skills challenges that follow the same coaching programme that produced Academy players like Rhian Brewster and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
LFC role models like Salah and Henderson were heavily referenced to teach children about the key aspects of the game. Attendees also gained an insight how to ‘Play the Liverpool Way’ as coaches incorporated the four values (Ambition, Unity, Commitment and Dignity) of the Club within sessions.
Children’s experience was greatly enhanced as some LFC academy players interacted with them during one of the breaks.
At the end of the course, each participant received a certificate signed by LFC legend Ian Rush along with a detailed individual learning plan as well as the Player feedback Form to aid their future football development.
This concludes a successful year of soccer school courses. Next year courses, starting from February 2019, are now on sale. For more details, please click here.
