Welsh midfielder Joe Allen followed manager Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool from Swansea City during the summer of 2012.
A talented passer in the middle of the park, he made his debut in an opening-day defeat at West Bromwich Albion and clocked up 37 appearances during his first season at Anfield.
Allen went on to play 24 league games in 2013-14 as the Reds mounted an unexpected Premier League title challenge, ultimately finishing second to Manchester City and securing a return to Champions League football.
He continued to be a reliable figure as Rodgers was replaced in the dugout by Jürgen Klopp in 2015, converting the winning penalty in the League Cup semi-finals - though Liverpool were defeated in the Wembley showpiece by City.
His final match for the club came as a substitute in the 2016 Europa League final, where the Reds again had to settle for runners-up, beaten by Sevilla in Basel.
That summer, he made a permanent switch to Stoke City, departing Merseyside having played 132 games and scored seven goals.
