Bobby Robinson was a Liverpool player for eight years in the early 1900s.
After his transfer from Sunderland in the spring of 1904, the attacker made nine First Division appearances and scored five times before the end of that 1903-04 season, but those goals were not enough to stop the club's slide into the second tier.
In his first full campaign at Anfield he was leading scorer with 24 goals from 32 league matches as the Reds won that division by two points from Bolton Wanderers.
Robinson and his colleagues coped astonishingly well back in the top flight, so much so that they ended the season as champions, four points clear of Preston North End.
Robinson only missed four fixtures and added another 10 goals to his rapidly growing total.
During the latter stages of his Liverpool career, though, he moved into the half-back line and so his goals-per-game average inevitably suffered.
After an injured spell, he moved on to join Tranmere Rovers in 1913.
