LegalSeason Ticket 2023 24 Terms & Conditions

    1. Issue of Season Ticket

    1.1 The issue of a Season Ticket and subsequent access to the Ground is subject to the Terms & Conditions of Entry (as defined below) which can be accessed via the Club’s website at https://www.liverpoolfc.com/legal/liverpool-football-club-terms-and-conditions or can be provided upon written request to the Club). Season Tickets for disabled supporters are also subject to certain additional terms relating to, amongst other things, eligibility criteria. The Terms & Conditions of Entry incorporate the Premier League’s Commitment Regarding Abusive and Discriminatory Conduct (which can be found on the Premier League’s website or provided upon written request to the Club).

    1.2 Season Tickets are for the use of supporters of the Club only. By applying for a Season Ticket and/or using the same you hereby warrant and represent that you are a supporter of the Club.

    1.3 The Club may require you to provide proof of identity at any point in the application process and/or at any point during the Season including but not limited to via the Fan Update process, (details of which can be found at https://faq.liverpoolfc.com/portal/kb/liverpool-fc/ticketing/fanupdate.) Failure to complete the Fan Update process when required or failure to provide proof of identity when requested may result in a suspension or cancellation of the Season Ticket. If you have obtained your Season Ticket via a change of ownership during the Fan Update process and you confirmed that you were unable to contact the original holder of the Season Ticket then you agree that should the original Season Ticket holder or next of kin request to have the Season Ticket back that you will relinquish the Season Ticket to the Club to allow the Club to transfer the Season Ticket to its original holder or next of kin. For the avoidance of doubt, the Club can make the transfer to the original owner or next of kin without your consent.

    2. Mobile Ticketing

    2.1 Subject to clause 2.4 below, all Season Tickets will be issued by virtue of electronic mobile tickets using near-field communication technology, or such other technology as the Club may decide to use from time to time (“E-Ticket”).

    2.2 In order to use your Season Ticket, you will be required to download the E-Ticket to your mobile smartphone by following the instructions provided by the Club from time to time. Etickets are only compatible with iPhone 6 and above and most Android/Google phones. Confirmation of whether your device is compatible with E-Tickets can be provided by the Club upon request. It is your responsibility to download the relevant E-Ticket, and to ensure that it is displayed correctly on your mobile smartphone. In the event that you have problems with downloading your Season Ticket as an E-Ticket, you must immediately inform the Club.

    2.3 The Season Ticket will need to be displayed on your mobile smartphone as an E-Ticket in order to gain access to the Ground. Season Tickets that are not displayed correctly (for example, due to a defective mobile smartphone or insufficient battery) will be rejected and you may be refused entry.

    2.4 In the event that you do not hold a compatible mobile smartphone or you are unable to access your Season Ticket via a mobile smartphone device, you must immediately inform the Club and the Club will discuss alternative access options that may be available depending on the circumstances, such alternative access options always being subject to the Club’s sole discretion.

    3. Admission to the Ground

    3.1 By purchasing and/or accepting and/or holding a Season Ticket and/or using a Season Ticket to gain access to the Ground, you: (a) certify that you have read, understood and accepted; (b) agree to be bound by and to comply with; and (c) agree to bring to the attention of others, as required below, the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment).

    3.2 A Season Ticket permits you to occupy at the Match the seat indicated on the Season Ticket or such other alternative seat as the Club may, from time to time, allocate to you at its reasonable discretion (including but without limiting the circumstances in which that discretion may be exercised when a stand or area of the Ground is closed for repairs, maintenance or 2 re-construction). All access to the Ground pursuant to a Season Ticket shall be for the purposes of private enjoyment of the Match only and, not for any commercial purpose (and no authorisation is given or implied in respect of the carrying out of any commercial activities).

    3.3 Nothing in these Conditions of Issue shall constitute or imply any entitlement to occupy the seat indicated on the Season Ticket in any subsequent season.

    3.4 Save as set out in clause 3.5 below, you shall not capture, log, record, transmit, play, issue, show or otherwise communicate (by digital or other means) any Material in relation to the Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground, nor may you bring into the Ground or use within the Ground (or provide to, facilitate or otherwise assist another person to use within the Ground) any equipment and/or technology which is capable of capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing or otherwise communicating (whether recorded or live and by digital or other means) any such Material in relation to a Match (or any aspect of it), any players or other persons present in the Ground. Any person acting in breach of this provision may have such equipment or technology confiscated and/or may be required to deliver up any tapes, films, disks, memory cards, memory sticks or other recordings of the Material (and all copies thereof) in whatever form, to the Premier League and/or the Club. In addition, the Club reserves the right to eject you from the Ground in circumstances where you breach this clause 3.4.

    3.5 Mobile telephones and other mobile devices are permitted within the Ground, PROVIDED THAT (a) they are used for personal and private use only (which, for the avoidance of doubt and by way of example only, shall not include the capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing, sharing or any other communication of any Material for any commercial purposes); and (b) no Material that is captured, logged, recorded, transmitted, played, issued, shown or otherwise communicated by a mobile telephone or other mobile device may be published or otherwise made available to any third parties including, without limitation, via social networking sites.

    3.6 The copyright, database right and all other rights, title and interest in and to all Material that you produce at the Ground in relation to the Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground and/or the Ground (whether produced in breach of clause 3.4 above, or pursuant to clause 3.5 above, or otherwise) is hereby assigned to the Premier League or the Club, including by way of present assignment of future copyright pursuant to section 91 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You further agree (if and whenever required to do so by the Premier League or the Club) to promptly execute all instruments and do all things necessary to vest the right, title and interest in such rights to the Premier League or the Club absolutely and with full title guarantee.

    3.7 Save for official Club merchandise and/or other football-related clothing worn in good faith, you shall not bring into, use, wear, or display within the Ground any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials.

    3.8 You shall not offer or distribute (either for free or for sale by any person) within the Ground any consumer article or commercial product of any nature. For the avoidance of doubt this clause shall not prevent the lawful distribution of text publications in any format which do not infringe clause 3.7 above where both the content and the publication are lawful in all respects and do not in the Club’s reasonable opinion constitute a threat to public order.

    3.9 The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the Ground any person who fails to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment) and in such circumstances no refund or alternative seat will be offered.

    3.10 Without prejudice to the representation at clause 1.3 above, and in light of the Season Ticket holders being grouped together in designated areas, any attempt to gain access to the Ground wearing or carrying apparel (including, without limitation, hats and/or scarves) that demonstrate support for the Away Club, may result in admission being refused or you being ejected from the Ground and in such circumstances no refund or alternative seat will be offered, nor any form of compensation or refund for missing part or all of the Match. Further, the Club reserves the right to cancel or withdraw your Season Ticket and membership of any Club scheme.

    3.11 Entry to the Venue is subject to the Club’s ‘No Bag Policy’, details of which can be found at: https://faq.liverpoolfc.com/portal/en/kb/articles/tktw-can-you-bring-handluggage-into-the-stadium .

    4. Use of Season Ticket

    4.1 Subject to clause 4.2, below, Season Tickets are issued for your sole use regardless of who makes payment for any Season Ticket and you shall not sell, dispose of, assign, transfer, lend or otherwise deal with the Season Ticket or the benefit of it to any other person without the prior written consent of the Club in accordance with clause 4.2 below or via the Ticket Exchange in accordance with clause 13 below or via any official Club ticket transfer scheme that the Club may implement from time to time. Further, you shall not use the Season Ticket for any commercial purpose including, but not limited to, selling the Season Ticket. The reference to selling the Season Ticket includes: (a) offering to sell a Season Ticket (including, without limitation, via any website, social media page or online auction site); (b) exposing a Season Ticket for sale; (c) making a Season Ticket available for sale by another person; (d) advertising that a Season Ticket is available for purchase, which for the avoidance of doubt (and by way of example only) means that the Season Ticket may not be offered as a prize in any promotion or competition; (e) transferring, lending or selling a Season Ticket to any third party as part of a hospitality or travel package; and (f) giving (or offering to give) a Season Ticket to a person who pays or agrees to pay for some other goods or services (or offers to do so) or used for any other commercial purpose; all save as expressly authorised by the Premier League or the Club.

    4.2 You may only sell or transfer the Season Ticket to a Guest with the express written consent of the Club given at the Club’s absolute discretion or via any official Club ticket transfer scheme that the Club may implement from time to time, provided that such sale or transfer is in respect of an individual Match (i.e. you cannot sell or dispose of the whole entitlement of the Season Ticket) and in consideration of no payment or benefit in excess of the face value of the single ticket for that particular Match and provided further that such transfer does not take place during the course of any business or for the purpose of facilitating any third party’s business. Such resale or transfer to any Guest is hereby provided to be subject to the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment) which will (save for any rights to transfer under this clause) apply to and bind that Guest as if he/she was the original purchaser of the Season Ticket (and you must inform the Guest of this).

    4.3 Where relevant, if the Season Ticket holder does not obtain written consent from the Club for the transfer of the Season Ticket to a Guest, the Club reserves the right to refuse such Guest entry into the Ground. Written consent must be obtained by contacting the Club, this must be done prior to attending the Ground.

    4.4 The unauthorised sale or disposal of a Season Ticket may amount to a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. The Club may inform the police when it becomes aware that a Season Ticket has been sold or disposed of illegally and may press for charges to be brought against those breaking this law. If you are convicted of a ticket touting offence, or we reasonably suspect you have committed such an offence, we may notify the Premier League and, if necessary, other Premier League clubs who may in turn notify other football clubs, event holders, and/or the UK Football Policing Unit and/or the relevant law enforcement authorities. The information that we share may include your personal data, including your name, contact details, information about the offence and about ticket purchases (including payment details). We will use this to identify and prevent ticket touting offences and disorder at matches.

    4.5 The Season Ticket will remain the property of the Club at all times and must be produced by way of E-Ticket (or such other ticket as the Club may provide to you from time to time) together with photographic evidence of your identity if required to do so by any official, steward or employee of the Club or any police officer. The Club reserves the right to require the immediate return of the Season Ticket at any time.

    4.6 Any Season Ticket obtained or used in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment) may, at the Club’s sole discretion, be void and all rights conferred or evidenced by such Season Ticket may be nullified. Any person seeking to use a Season Ticket in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment) in order to gain entry to the Ground or remain at a Match may be considered to be a trespasser and may be refused entry to, or ejected from, the Ground in respect of a particular Match and/or may have his/her Season Ticket cancelled or withdrawn.

    4.7 In the event of any cancellation and withdrawal in accordance with this clause, no refund shall be payable to the holder in respect of any unexpired portion of the Season Ticket. The Club 4 further reserves its right to take any legal or disciplinary action against any person(s) as it sees fit in connection with such matters, including a claim for an account of any profits made from an unauthorised use of the Season Ticket.

    4.8 Adult and junior combined Season Tickets are issued on the strict condition that adults cannot use the junior's Season Ticket. Further, Season Tickets for disabled supporters and their personal assistances are issued on the strict condition that the personal assistant may not use their personal assistant Season Ticket to attend a Match without the disabled supporter. The Club reserves the right to carry out frequent spot checks to enforce these rules.

    4.9 For the avoidance of doubt you agree that you will only apply for, and shall only use, a Season Ticket which you are eligible for, and the Club reserves the right to refuse you entry and/or take any other sanctions which the Club deems appropriate where the Club determines that you are using a ticket that you are not eligible for (for example, using a concession ticket as an adult, using a personal assistance ticket without accompanying a disabled supporter etc.)

    4.10 If you leave the Ground at any time on the day of a Match, you will not be entitled to re-enter the Ground except where the Club expressly approves (in its sole discretion) such re-entry.

    5. Changes to Dates, Refunds & Exchanges

    5.1 No guarantees can be given by the Club that a Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date. The Club reserves the right to reschedule any Match or, if necessary, play any Match out of view of the public without fans in attendance or at reduced capacity, without notice and without any liability whatsoever, other than set out in these terms and conditions. Your Season Ticket will enable you to attend a re-arranged Match if such Match is to be played in view of the public with the Ground at full capacity and all fans in attendance and the Club recommends you visit the Club website on a regular basis in order to check the latest dates and times of Matches. In the event that the Match is either cancelled or played out of view of the public without fans in attendance or at reduced capacity (and you are unable to attend the Match) you will be entitled to receive a pro-rata refund.

    5.2 The Club will have no further liability whatsoever relating to any alteration of the time or date of any Match or cancellation of a Match or if a Match is played out of view of the public without fans in attendance or with a reduced capacity (including (but not limited to any postponement or abandonment), including (but not limited to) any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel/accommodation costs.

    5.3 Once a Season Ticket is purchased you will not be entitled to cancel your Season Ticket and receive a refund, except where expressly set out in these Conditions of Issue.

    6. Lost or Stolen Season Tickets

    6.1 In order to gain admission to the Ground, the Season Ticket must be presented in its entirety at every Match.

    6.2 In the event that you forget your device on which your Season Ticket is held in E-Ticket form or any other ticket that may be issued to you by the Club from time to time as your Season Ticket in respect of any individual Match, the Club shall not be obliged to admit you or issue any other form of ticket for that Match. If a match-day duplicate ticket is issued (at the Club’s sole discretion), the Club may require payment of a £10.00 non-refundable administration charge.

    6.3 A maximum of three (3) match day duplicate tickets will be issued (at the Club’s sole discretion) over the Season, after which, no further duplicates will be issued unless otherwise decided by the Club.

    6.4 If you inadvertently lose, misplace, damage or destroy your Season Ticket (including losing or no longer having access to the device on which your Season Ticket is stored in the form of an E-Ticket) you should report this to the Club as soon as possible. If your Season Ticket (including the device on which your Season Ticket is stored in E-Ticket form) is stolen, you should report this to the police and the relevant crime number should be quoted in all correspondence with the Club. If, in the Club’s opinion, a Season Ticket (including the device on which your Season Ticket is stored in E-Ticket form) is damaged, lost, misplaced, stolen, destroyed, or no longer functioning, a duplicate Season Ticket in E-Ticket form or such other alternative ticket as the Club shall choose in its sole discretion to provide shall be issued by the Club as soon as reasonably practicable after the payment of a £10.00 non-refundable administration charge, unless the Club reasonably believes that you are, or have been, acting 5 in a fraudulent or illegal manner and/or in breach of any Terms & Conditions of Entry. In making its decision, the Club shall be entitled to call for all reasonable evidence of the need for a replacement Season Ticket, for example but not limited to a police crime reference number in the event that a Season Ticket (including the device on which your Season Ticket is stored in E-Ticket form) is stolen, or a copy of the damaged Season Ticket (including the device on which your Season Ticket is stored in E-Ticket form). Unless decided by the Club otherwise, only one (1) duplicate Season Ticket will be issued to you per Season and you will be required to sign a document confirming that the original Season Ticket is damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed and indemnifying the Club against any direct or indirect consequences of such matter having been falsely represented or stated to the Club. The Club may require you to attend the Ground or another location in person to collect/download the duplicate Season Ticket (or any Match-day duplicate ticket) and provide the Club with satisfactory evidence of your identity.

    6.5 Where relevant, should any Season Ticket when applied for not arrive in the post after purchase, you will be required to sign a document confirming this and undertaking to immediately return the original Season Ticket to the Club should it come into your possession at any time. There will be no charge for the issue of a duplicate Season Ticket in this instance.

    7. Change of Address

    If you change your address during the season you must notify the Club as soon as reasonably practicable by visiting and logging in at www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/season-ticket-andmember-address-update. Proof of address must be provided before an address can be changed.

    8. Cancellation & Withdrawal of Season Ticket

    8.1 Without prejudice to the Club’s rights to cancel or withdraw a Season Ticket, the Club reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the Ground any person:

    8.1.1 who fails to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry;

    8.1.2 whose entry into the Ground is likely to, in the reasonable opinion of the Club, result in a failure to comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry; and

    8.1.3 who is prohibited (whether by law or otherwise) from attending any football ground (including the Ground) or is the subject of football related criminal or civil proceedings.

    8.2 Without prejudice to any other remedies it may have, the Club shall have the right in the case of any serious or persistent breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry and/or any activity in contravention of the Commitment to cancel and withdraw your Season Ticket and to eject you from the Ground. In the event of such cancellation, no refund will be paid in respect of any unexpired portion of the Season Ticket. In such cases, your conduct may be presented to the Club’s Sanctions Panel. Please refer to the Official Club Sanctions document which is available at www.liverpoolfc.com/corporate/official-sanctions-process and which provides a guide to the sanctions that the Club may impose in the circumstances set out below. Without prejudice to the general nature of the above the following actions shall constitute a serious breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry:

    8.2.1 smoking in any part of the Ground;

    8.2.2 being (or appearing to be) intoxicated; 8.2.3 persistent standing in seated areas whilst the Match is in progress;

    8.2.7 the supply of any misleading or incorrect information in any application made to the Club;

    8.2.8 the throwing of any object within the Ground that may cause injury, damage, distress or annoyance to people or property without lawful authority or excuse; 6

    8.2.9 whether at the Ground, or, travelling to or from a Match or at any event, occasion or location linked to the Club:

    8.3 The Club may conduct security searches where it has reason to believe that any of the breaches set down in this clause 8 have either occurred or may occur.

    8.4 If a Season Ticket holder is 16 years old or under, his/her parent(s) and/or guardian(s) are responsible for his/her actions, conduct and compliance with the Terms & Conditions of Entry (including the Commitment). This means that, for the avoidance of doubt, where a Season Ticket holder who is under 16 years old or under is subject to a Club sanction, the Club may also apply the sanction to his/her parent(s) and/or guardian(s).

    8.5 In the event that your Season Ticket is withdrawn or cancelled the Club reserves the right to exclude you from any membership scheme maintained or organised by the Club and/or to disqualify you from applying for any Match ticket or Season Ticket at its discretion, and to notify any Football Authority and/or other football clubs of such exclusion and/or disqualification (and the reason(s) for such exclusion and/or disqualification).
