Nicky Ajose joined Liverpool FC Women midway through the 2025-26 season, as an individual development coach.

In doing so, he renewed a partnership with Reds head coach Gareth Taylor, who he worked alongside for a period at Manchester City.

Born in Bury, Ajose began his coaching career in 2021 at Exeter City, where he spent three years as U18s coach.

That followed a playing career as a striker that saw him progress through the Manchester United youth set-up, also earning England youth recognition several times.

He made more than 330 senior appearances as a player, scoring 99 goals, at clubs including Bury, Crewe Alexandra, Swindon Town, Charlton Athletic and Leeds United.
