Emilia Szymczak, defender - Liverpool FC
Emilia Szymczak joined Liverpool FC Women on a season-long loan in September 2025.
The Poland international made the temporary switch to Merseyside from FC Barcelona in a bid to gain more senior experience.
A central defender, she began her career in her homeland with Gornik Leczna, ahead of moving to Spain in 2023.
Szymczak represented her nation at both U17 and U19 level before stepping into the senior side.
She helped Poland qualify and then featured at the Women's Euros in the summer of 2025 – her country's first ever major international tournament.
Szymczak was named on the NXGN 2025 list and won the Supercopa Femenina in 2024-25 with Barcelona B.
After signing for Liverpool, she said: "It's amazing to be here. This is a big club and I'm so happy...
