NotíciasJürgen Klopp se junta à equipe de gestão do LFC Legends para a partida do Borussia Dortmund
Klopp will return to the Anfield dugout to assist manager Sir Kenny Dalglish for the charity match, presented by AXA and in association with Forever Reds, on Saturday March 28 (3pm GMT kick-off).
Dalglish and Klopp will be joined on the touchline by LFC ambassador Ian Rush and Forever Reds chair John Aldridge.
A long-time supporter of LFC Foundation, Klopp became an honorary ambassador for the club’s official charity after stepping down from his transformative reign as Liverpool manager in the summer of 2024.
Klopp has consistently praised the impact of the charity and has highlighted its ‘incredible work’ delivered both locally and globally.
He also, of course, has strong links to Dortmund, having successfully managed the German club between 2008 and 2015.
Liverpool and Dortmund are united by more than just their former boss, with both sets of supporters singing You’ll Never Walk Alone before home matches.
They will come together for the legends game at Anfield 10 years on from their dramatic Europa League quarter-final meeting in 2016.
As always, 100 per cent of the proceeds from the match will go directly towards the work of LFC Foundation and Forever Reds, the club’s official former players association.
This year, funds raised will support LFC Foundation’s employability programmes, helping people across the community to find work, gain qualifications and develop new skills through mentoring and training.
The match will also contribute to the Foundation’s long-term ambition of supporting 500,000 people per season by 2030.
