MatchWSL: 10 stats to know ahead of the Merseyside derby

Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in their last two WSL games – as many shutouts as they managed in their previous 23 matches in the competition. The Reds last kept three consecutive clean sheets in the top flight between November 2017 and January 2018.
Jennifer Falk has kept four clean sheets across seven appearances in the WSL. Only six goalkeepers have previously recorded five shutouts within their first eight matches in the competition: Emma Byrne, Marie Hourihan, Lydia Williams, Manuela Zinsberger, Zecira Musovic and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
The Reds have won two of their nine away games against Everton in the WSL (drew three, lost four), 4-1 in June 2013 and 2-0 in September 2017.
The Toffees have won more WSL games against Liverpool than any other team (10) and are unbeaten in each of their last eight league meetings with the Reds (won six, drew two), since a 3-1 loss in May 2019.
Cornelia Kapocs is the only Reds player to have started every WSL match so far this season. Mia Enderby has also appeared in all 18 to date.
Liverpool beat Everton 2-1 in the most recent encounter between the two sides, in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup last month, though have not won back-to-back meetings with the Blues since a run of four between July 2015 and September 2017.

Watch on YouTubeEverton have won both of their last two WSL home matches. They have only once previously recorded three successive victories on home soil in the competition – doing so in July 2011 (a run including a 1-0 win over Liverpool).
Everton’s Scott Phelan has won three of his first four WSL matches (lost one) and could become the first manager to win four of his opening five WSL games in charge of the Blues.
The Blues’ last two goals in the WSL have been both scored and assisted by substitutes, with only Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United (both five) managing more goal contributions by substitutes this calendar year in the top flight than them (four).
Reds defender Gemma Bonner has scored three WSL goals versus Everton in her career, the first back in September 2013.
