Liverpool have won two of their last three Women’s Super League matches. Only Chelsea and Manchester United (nine) have collected more WSL points in 2025 so far than the Reds’ six.

Taylor Hinds and Olivia Smith are the only Reds players to have started all 13 league matches in 2024-25. However, the latter is suspended for this fixture.

City have lost both of their home WSL matches in 2025, as many defeats as they had suffered at home across 2022, 2023 and 2024 combined (28 wins, four draws, two losses).

These two sides have fielded, on average, the youngest starting line-ups in the division this season: Liverpool 25 years and 285 days, Manchester City 26 years and two days.

Gemma Bonner leads the Reds’ statistics in the WSL this term for passes (454), clearances (79) and blocks (eight).

Match report

Matt Beard’s team continue to record the highest duels won percentage in the league with 53.3 per cent.

Khadija Shaw has scored 59 goals in 68 Women’s Super League appearances under Gareth Taylor – in WSL history, only Fran Kirby has ever scored more goals under one manager (63 under Emma Hayes).

City have registered the best pass completion rate in the WSL in 2024-25, being successful with 89.2 per cent of their 8,585 played.

They have faced the fewest shots in the Women’s Super League this season (106).
