NewsWorld Cup: Alexis Mac Allister and Argentina win again in final group match

Alexis Mac Allister came off the bench as Argentina made it three wins from three Group J games at the World Cup by beating Jordan 3-1.

Liverpool’s No.10 appeared for the final half an hour of Saturday’s match in Dallas, which was won comfortably by the reigning champions.

With their status as group winners already assured, head coach Lionel Scaloni made nine changes to Argentina’s starting line-up, with Mac Allister among the cohort of players to drop out of the XI.

Scaloni’s side will now face Cabo Verde in the Round of 32 on Friday evening.
