MatchWest Ham United v Liverpool: Team news

The Netherlands international missed Wednesday's defeat by Everton due to the birth of his son, but has since returned to training and will be in contention for the lunchtime clash at the London Stadium.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Jürgen Klopp said: "Yes, little Samuel is born. Don't know the time exactly, but according to [Cody] everything [is] fine. Mum well, boy well, father well and back in training yesterday."

But the trip to the capital comes too soon for the injured Conor Bradley and Diogo Jota.

"Both not ready," Klopp reported. "Progressing well, [but] not ready and nobody told me yet they will start training in the next few days. I think it will take time, a little bit."

Thiago Alcantara, Ben Doak and Joel Matip remain sidelined for the Reds.

West Ham, meanwhile, are hopeful of having top scorer Jarrod Bowen available after he missed last weekend's loss at Crystal Palace.

Defenders Konstantinos Mavropanos and Nayef Aguerd also sat out the Selhurst Park encounter through injury, with the latter ruled out again.

"Jarrod Bowen is back training, so there is a good chance he will be available," Hammers boss David Moyes told reporters. "We will still have to monitor him up until kick-off to see how he is, but hopefully Jarrod is back and fit.

"We've got a couple of issues with our centre-backs. Nayef won't be available as he's not ready yet.

"Dinos [Mavropanos] has got a chance, so we will need to see how he is, but again it's pretty tight and is a quick turnaround in regard to the game being played at lunchtime. Hopefully they will be fine."
