Virgil van Dijk scored the winning goal as the Netherlands secured their place in next summer's UEFA Nations League finals.

The Liverpool defender was on target with a 73rd-minute header for his country to defeat Belgium 1-0 in Amsterdam on Sunday evening.

The victory confirmed top spot in League A Group 4 for the Dutch and they will progress to the tournament’s deciding phase in 2023.

Van Dijk played the full 90 minutes at Johan Cruijff Arena.
