News'Very, very good' - Zinedine Zidane full of praise for Jeremy Jacquet
The 21-year-old earned his second cap on Friday night by playing the full 90 minutes of a 1-1 draw with Italy in the UEFA Nations League.
The centre-back had debuted for Les Bleus four days earlier away to Belgium in a 1-0 victory.
Assessing Jacquet's most recent display, Zidane told reporters: "Very good. Very, very good. Brave.
"He wasn't afraid to come out a long way. Very good in the duels. He was, once again, very good. I said it four times."
Jacquet has made a fine start to the 2026-27 season for both club and country.
He was ever-present for Liverpool before the international break and also received a nomination for September's Premier League Player of the Month.
On his first time in France's senior set-up, Jacquet said: "Better than I imagined.
"To train with all these great players, it's just a great pleasure. I'm just trying to make the most of every moment."
