AcademyU18s start pre-season with friendly win

The game was played as a 50-minute fixture as the new-look Reds squad for 2022-23 took their first steps of pre-season.

Reflecting on the friendly, U18s boss Marc Bridge-Wilkinson told Liverpoolfc.com: "It was great for the lads to get their first game of pre-season and it was a decent game, to be fair.

"The boys have been working very hard in training and it was great for them to put that red shirt on again.

"It was great to welcome the Robbie Fowler Academy here and it was very beneficial for both teams."
