Cody Pennington scored twice and other efforts came from Ben Doak, Trent Kone-Doherty, Lewis Koumas and an own goal.

Reflecting on the win, Bridge-Wilkinson told Liverpoolfc.com: "It was a nice performance, our best of the pre-season so far.

"It was a great way to warm up for the new season and all of the players – from the ones starting to coming off the bench – performed to a good level."
