After going 1-0 down, Reds forward Tyler Martin scored a superb individual goal to level the encounter at St. George's Park.
U18s assistant manager Anthony Ryan told Liverpoolfc.com: "This was a really good competitive game for a pre-season friendly.
"West Ham gave us our toughest test so far and it was a pretty even game, to be fair. Both sides created some good chances and I felt a draw was a fair result.
"It was a great opportunity for us to play at St. George's Park – the facilities are fantastic.
"There are a lot of positives once again for us to take and we keep going as we build up to the start of the new season."
