NewsTrey Nyoni scores as England U18s draw with Portugal

The 17-year-old was joined in the starting line-up by fellow Reds Academy player Carter Pinnington for the Young Lions’ opening fixture of the Lafarge Foot Avenir Tournament in France.

Nyoni netted his side’s second goal of the afternoon early on in the second half, which put them 2-0 up. However, Portugal staged a late comeback by scoring twice in the final 15 minutes to claim a draw.

England are back in action when they face Switzerland on Friday, before they end the competition against hosts France two days later.
