Trent Alexander-Arnold has withdrawn from the England squad following the injury he sustained at the weekend.

The Liverpool vice-captain was substituted midway through the first half of the Reds' 2-0 Premier League victory over Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

England have now confirmed Alexander-Arnold will not link up with Lee Carsley's squad for their UEFA Nations League double-header this week.

The Three Lions - who include Reds midfielder Curtis Jones - travel to Greece on Thursday and then host the Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
