NewsTrent Alexander-Arnold targeting 'many more' assists after PL landmark
Liverpool's No.66 got to his half-century by setting up two goals in his side's 6-1 win at Leeds United earlier this month.
And he's since moved on to 52 assists by laying on strikes for Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo in subsequent victories against Nottingham Forest and West Ham United respectively.
"It's not something I ever imagined doing or achieving. But I'm proud, very proud to be able to do that – and hopefully there's many more to come in the future," Alexander-Arnold said of the milestone.
The Academy graduate, who has taken just 192 Premier League appearances to register 52 assists, added that hard work is the secret to his success.
"Definitely, all aspects of football; you're given so much talent then it's on you to work hard to improve it," Alexander-Arnold replied, when asked if he has trained specifically on his passing.
"It's something I enjoyed growing up, I enjoyed passing the ball, set-pieces, corners, free-kicks – all of that was something I enjoyed doing when I was a kid. I always worked on it and now I guess I'm reaping the rewards."
