AcademyTom Hill enjoys goalscoring return in U18s' friendly with Spurs
The 19-year-old played his first game since September 2020 after a serious knee issue was followed by difficulties with his shin and back.
And the Formby-born player made the most of his comeback at the Kirkby Academy, scoring a typical goal just before half-time as he arrived into the box to finish a good cross from Isaac Mabaya.
That brought the Reds back into the contest at 2-1 and they then dominated the second period.
Hill, who made a first-team debut for Liverpool in December 2019, almost grabbed a second before departing after an hour, having come through the test well.
At full-time he shared a warm embrace with Academy lead physio Paul Kelly and his staff, the team who have played such a huge part in his rehabilitation.
On the pitch, Oakley Cannonier finished off a superb Harvey Blair cross to make it 2-2 and then grabbed a winner in the last minute following a perfect through ball from Luke Chambers.
