With Liverpool set to begin their 2024-25 Premier League season away at Ipswich Town, take a look back at the last time the Reds visited Portman Road.

The release of the fixture schedule for the new campaign today revealed Arne Slot’s team will first travel to the newly promoted side on Saturday August 17.

It will be Liverpool’s first trip to Portman Road since a 6-0 win there in February 2002, when Abel Xavier, Emile Heskey (two), Sami Hyypia and Michael Owen (two) were on the scoresheet.
