Southampton manager Russell Martin has insisted he expects Romeo Lavia to feature in their Championship opener at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday evening.
The Saints get their second tier campaign underway tomorrow night and are hopeful of having their two midfielders continuing to be linked with an exit: James Ward-Prowse and Lavia.
West Ham are currently pursuing the former as Liverpool continue their chase for Lavia, having so far seen two bids rejected for the Belgian.
