Reaction'So crazy' - Enderby and Holland on Liverpool's last-gasp WSL victory

The forward came off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur at St Helens Stadium in the Barclays Women's Super League as the Reds pressed for a breakthrough.

It seemed stalemate would remain but Enderby reacted to strike from close range in the 94th minute.

She then scored again immediately from the Spurs kick-off to wrap up a 2-0 win for Gareth Taylor's side - their first of the league campaign.

"I had to come on and make an impact, try to help the girls. And that's what I did," said Enderby post-match.

"The ball that Jenna [Clark] put in at the end, I thought I'd throw my body towards it and hopefully get something on it, which I did.

"Then I just find it so crazy how straight from kick-off I score again.

"[Taylor] just said, 'Run across that front post and I'm sure you'll get something on it.' That's what I did. He just said, 'Once you come on, get running, start the press again.' And that's what I felt like I did."

Enderby continued: "At the start of the season it was hard for us, we went through a lot. But we all stuck together like a family.

"I think the three points today will lift us all up and hopefully we can go into the next game with the same mindset."

Liverpool had presented the bigger threat for much of the lunchtime kick-off and hit the woodwork three times - including twice in added time before Enderby's double.

Two of those attempts came from January signing Alice Bergstrom and the other via a free-kick from the impressive Ceri Holland.

Reflecting on the game, Holland said: "Really, really pleased. We were really, really good from the first whistle. The energy was good.

"I think we've deserved that. Obviously we've bundled it over the line at the end but Mia has come on and obviously got the two goals.

"Just really, really happy for us as a team because we've deserved that, with the staff and for the fans because they were fantastic today."

The Wales international added: "This is just the start. We've been building towards this, you can see [it] in our performances.

"There's potentially games we've been a little bit unlucky in. I don't think the table really reflects the way we've played this season at times.

"So, just the start and [we're] really excited to keep on moving forward, but we have to keep working hard and build on this now."
