NewsSalah named on three-man shortlist for African Men's Player of the Year award

Former Red Sadio Mane and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy complete the shortlist for the trophy, which will be handed out on Thursday July 21.

Salah made 51 appearances for Liverpool last season, scoring 31 goals while providing 16 assists, and helped inspire Egypt to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in February.

He was named the Professional Footballers' Association Men's Players' Player of the Year and Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year and won the Premier League's Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season accolades.
