NewsSadio Mane posts positive update following head injury

The Liverpool forward was forced off shortly after scoring a brilliant opening goal as Senegal claimed a 2-0 victory in Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations last-16 tie, following a clash of heads with the Cape Verde goalkeeper.

Mane was subsequently taken to hospital and posted on Instagram on Wednesday: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Thank you for your messages of support, I am very well!”
