In the third episode, a message reading 'LFC > MUFC' can be seen scratched into a table Cooper's character is seated at.

That was all the doing of the young actor, who explained the back story to that Easter egg while at Anfield when the Reds sealed the Premier League title against Tottenham Hotspur.

Cooper said: "Do you know the table in episode three? So, Phil [Barantini, director] gave a pencil to all the crew and we could all draw something or write something.

"And I wrote 'LFC > MUFC' – and it stayed in! Phil kept it in."
