Giovanni Leoni has taken the No.15 shirt at Liverpool.

The 18-year-old centre-half completed his switch to the club today to join Arne Slot's squad ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

And the Italy youth international has chosen to wear the No.15 jersey for the Reds.

"I chose the number 15 because when I debuted as a pro I had this and I want to keep it with me," Leoni explained.

The number has been previously worn at Liverpool in the Premier League era by the likes of Patrik Berger, Peter Crouch, Jamie Redknapp and Daniel Sturridge.

It had been vacant at the Reds since the departure of last incumbent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2023.
