Rachel Furness delivered the assist for Northern Ireland’s first ever goal at a major tournament but they were beaten 4-1 by Norway in their Euro 2022 opener on Thursday night.

The Liverpool No.10 crossed for Julie Nelson early in the second half of the Group A contest in Southampton to pull one back and make it 3-1.

Furness and her nation are next in action on Monday evening when they take on Austria.
