NewsPremier League confirms start and end dates for 2026-27 season

The next top-flight campaign will get under way on Saturday August 22, 2026.
It is set to consist of 33 weekends and five rounds of midweek fixtures.
During the Christmas and New Year period, no two match rounds will take place within 60 hours of each other.
The season will conclude on Sunday May 30, 2027 with all games kicking off simultaneously.
