Mohamed Salah can extend his record-breaking streak of scoring on the opening weekend of Premier League seasons when Liverpool visit Chelsea on Sunday.

The No.11 is eyeing up seven in a row and is currently the only player in the league's history to have netted in six consecutive campaign openers, after converting at Fulham last August.

In total, Salah has scored eight goals in the first round of Premier League fixtures – a joint-record also held by Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.

A goal this weekend would also see the Egyptian take outright fifth place on the club's all-time top scorers list. He is currently level with Steven Gerrard on 186.
