The hosts' 2-0 lead, given to them by Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, was wiped out with finishes from Aleksandr Golovin and Mika Biereth either side of half-time.

Victor Munoz came on to make his Liverpool debut before Monaco secured victory with Paris Brunner's late header.
