Summer arrivals Jacquet and Araujo played 45 minutes each of the Reds’ final pre-season friendly of the summer against Como 1907.

Centre-back Jacquet capped off an impressive first-half display with a goal, too, which put Andoni Iraola’s side 2-0 up following Cody Gakpo’s earlier opener.

The No.5 was then replaced by Araujo at the break as Liverpool completed their schedule of summer fixtures with a win.
