Earlier in the day it was confirmed that the Italy U19 centre-back had completed a transfer to the Reds from Serie A side Parma.

Having tried on his new kit and given his reaction to the move, Leoni headed straight to his home stadium to see Arne Slot’s men kick off the Premier League season against the Cherries.
