David Moyes' side remain in the hunt for European football and have won three of their last five Premier League matches, beating Newcastle United, Burnley and Chelsea.
They entered the weekend occupying eighth spot in the standings and level on points with seventh-placed Brentford, who they drew 2-2 with last weekend.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a stoppage-time equaliser at Gtech Community Stadium to rescue a point for the visitors.

Previous meeting

What they said
Moyes, Everton manager
"When you move to a new stadium, it's always difficult. You look through the records of nearly all the teams who have built new stadiums or moved, I think it's never been particularly easy. We've had our ups and downs in it.
"We had a great start. Maybe a bit in the middle not so good. We're finding a little bit better form now, so I hope we can maintain that. We've got three big games to play at the Hill Dickinson before the end of the season. So, looking forward to it and hopefully we can get some good results."
Stats
Victory for Everton would see them hit the 50-point mark in a Premier League season for the first time since 2020-21 under Carlo Ancelotti (59).
Only Arsenal (12), Brighton & Hove Albion (12) and Manchester City (11) have won more points across their last five Premier League games than the Toffees (10).
There have been 26 Premier League draws between Everton and Liverpool, with only Chelsea v Manchester United (27 before their meeting on Saturday evening) seeing more in the competition's history.
The Merseyside derby has also seen the most red cards of any fixture in Premier League history (25 – Everton 17, Liverpool eight).
Each of Everton's last eight Premier League goals against Liverpool have been scored by different players, with half of those coming from set-pieces.
